The first step after receiving the ikuai product is to increase the DHCP pool and modify the default connection limit to meet your needs. It is not recommended to exceed the quantity limit introduced in the product.
Default background login information:
Login IP address 192.168.2.1 default (if it is incorrect, you can check it through the computer's Ethernet assigned IP)
The default account and password are both admin
After entering, you can see that the device IP pool, that is, DHCP, has only 254. If we need to connect more devices, we need to modify and increase the number. The screenshot shows that it has been increased.
Two methods are recommended to increase the quantity
1. Create a new network segment in the DHCP pool and bind it to other LAN ports (suitable for devices within 1,000)
2. By modifying the network segment and IP of the DHCP pool, more number of devices can be allocated to the same network port (suitable for more than 1,000 devices)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First enter the DHCP control center to create a new
Select the corresponding LAN port, they correspond to the LAN port behind the router
Then fill in the desired IP segment information, such as 192.168.9.1-192.168.9.254 in the figure (you can also fill in 10.10.1.1-10.10.1.254)
The sub-mask selects the default 255.255.255.250 (here you can control the maximum number of IPs generated)
The LAN IP of the connected device is 192.168.9. (2-254) and the first three segments will not change
Use method 1 to set up, just need to repeatedly add this information and bind multiple ports such as lan2 lan3 lan4 lan5
For example: the IP segment is added as 192.168.10.1-192.168.10.254 (you can also fill in 10.10.2.1-10.10.2.254)
To use method 2, you need to modify the IP segment to more extended, and the sub-mask also needs to be modified to the corresponding number of modes.
For example: 192.168.8.1-192.168.9.254, the sub-mask is 255.255.254.0
The LAN IP of the connected device is from 192.168.8. (1-254) to 192.168.9. (2-254) after it is full, so as to achieve the distribution of more than 500 device connections.
If you don't know how to calculate the sub-mask, you can use the tool to calculate it and fill it in again
By combining these two methods, you can allocate connections to tens of thousands of devices according to the number of devices that can be connected.
After the number of LAN ports is expanded, they can be connected to the switch to expand the equipment.
The network management is set to the router's default background address ip
DNS selects the one suitable for your country based on the local network delay. Common ones are 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 114.114.114.114, etc.
After completion, monitor the status information to see if the settings are correct.
