1. Regarding the selection of router models, it is recommended to choose according to the farm capacity. A farm capacity of 300 means that 300 mobile devices can be connected.
2. ikuai routers do not have wifi transmitters. They are distributed through Ethernet connections. If you need wifi function, you can purchase ikuai-AP products as wifi transmitters, which can be managed uniformly in the ikuai background.
3. Recommended network ports for large farms
For less than 1,000 mobile phones , a router with a 2500Mbps port is recommended. For more than 1,000 mobile phones, a router with an SFP port is recommended. For example, IK-MSG460X has two 10000Mbps SFP ports. Use this port to connect to a switch to make all transmission speeds faster and delays lower.
4. About switch model selection
The switch level is level 2 and level 3. The main difference is the distribution and aggregation of broadband. Level 2 switches do not have broadband aggregation function and are only used for LAN network distribution. Level 3 switches have independent backgrounds and can set up multiple external network accesses for VLAN network aggregation and distribution. They can also be used as independent routers.
If there are less than 500 mobile phones and only one switch is needed, it is recommended to choose a level 2 switch. If the number exceeds 500 mobile phones and network aggregation is required, it is recommended to choose a level 3 switch. For large computer rooms with more than 1,000 mobile devices, it is recommended to choose a level 3 switch and two level 2 switches. The level 3 switch is used to aggregate multiple ISP broadbands, and the level 2 switch is used for LAN distribution to connect farm boxes.
Then choose according to the number of network ports on the switch and the backplane broadband speed.
There is also a POE powered version that can be used to power AP-wifi transmitters and various POE-powered devices, which can be selected according to needs.
5. Selection of AP-wifi transmitter
You can choose according to the number of APs supported. One ikuai router can connect to many APs, so if the number of supported mobile phones is not enough or the WiFi range is not enough, you can increase the purchase quantity.
